For the return of NBA on NBC, Ryan directed three launch spots featuring NBA stars past and present. Roundball Rock, which unites NBA and NBC talent in a singalong of John Tesh’s iconic anthem, has generated more than 30 million views across social platforms.
Ryan has also directed campaigns tied to global events including the 2024 Paris Olympics, collaborating with talent such as Paris Hilton, Peyton Manning, Megan Thee Stallion, Michael Phelps, and Lily Collins, along with a Minions-themed spot for Illumination and Despicable Me 4 featuring Olympic athletes.
Ryan’s work has earned consistent industry recognition, including eight honors at the 2025 GEMA Awards. Through his career, he has received more than forty industry awards, including three GEMA/PROMAX Best Director wins.
Earlier highlights include a CLIO Award-winning Voice Super Bowl spot recognized by Yahoo Sports, The Chicago Tribune, and Rolling Stone as one of the year’s best game day spots. A collaboration with filmmaker Spike Lee on a network brand spot featuring the music of Prince.

Temps, which dives into modern day love and commitment through the eyes of temp workers, became an indie film success story. Despite its tiny budget, the Temps trailer struck a nerve with audiences and went viral, racking up more than 50 million views. Those views turned into sales, and Temps became a chart-topping romantic comedy - hitting #1 on iTunes bestseller list.
His first feature, A Big Love Story, a romantic comedy about a guy trying to lose weight to find love, took home seven festival awards, including Newport Beach Film Festival’s Breakout Filmmaker of the Year, Beverly Hills Film Festival’s Audience Choice – Best Feature and the Manhattan Film Festival’s, Best Comedy. Variety called it "unpretentiously well turned," while Hollywood Reporter raved, “it brings fresh life to the overworked romantic comedy genre.” Criterioncast simply called it "an absolute revelation."
